    Nope, just fiberglass and they can chip or fail pretty much any time. Also if anything gets sucked in and doesn't allow the reed to lay flat it could prevent the vacuum necessary to draw fuel correctly.

    Looks good! I've got mine on the new 3DHS 91" Yak that should be ready for maiden today!! Stock muffler sounded great, pitts sounds even better... :-) More pics and video coming soon!!

    Mine are definitely on the ground via the rcexl tach hard mounted in my plane. In Toledo this weekend but will be working on my 92 with the 61 this week as I am now the proud owner of a Demon Cortex... Will give it a tune and see if I can squeeze any more out of it as I literally haven't touched...

    Yeah... That was my feedback to DLE when I tested the sample out. Would be waaaaaaay easier for anyone with a 50/55 to just do a bolt on upgrade, but what do I know?!

    Nope, no reason to. Bolted mine on and fueled her up. Drew fuel with just the little compression "bumps" so knew the reed block was fine. As for the ring, compression was strong but smooth so no red flags to pull off the jug. A lot of guys feel they NEED a Bowman ring but I fly enough that...

    Still loving mine more and more every flight! It's about time for it's first tune up since our weather has warmed up about 25 degrees compared to when I first bolted her on. If it helps here's a movie I put together from my flights last week. I guess the proof is in the pudding (or video...)...

    Don't worry, Tom has a stash of Falcon 24x9's for me based on flight test results on the DLE61. 10 pitch props on this size are for the go fast / straight line guys. 8 and 9 are for punch and pull, and that's where I live!!

    I started with a 23x9 Falcon and the engine was SCREAMING! When I went to the 24x9 was only turning about 6200, but seriously picking up RPM every flight and have yet to touch the needles again since getting it dialed in before maiden...

    Well 2 months and 38 12 minute flights later, I've had nothing but great luck with this engine! The plane has lost 2 sets of wheel pants, one wing tip, and a tail wheel, but the engine is still rockin and rollin!! I'm now turning between 64-6500 rpm on the ground with a Falcon carbon fiber 24x9...
