I rest my case. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2016/03/25/first-time-ever-package-delivered-by-drone-in-small-nevada-town/ Particularly "NASA is working with the drone industry and the Federal Aviation Administration on a low-altitude air traffic control system to prevent crashes...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I was driving out to the field last Thursday when all of a sudden loud rattling from under the hood. It's snowing here today so a perfect day to repair the fan shroud on my plane hauler. You just don't run down to O'reilly and get a new one. It's a '78 Ford F250!

WE ALL NEED TO ACT TO SAVE THE HOBBY

Done I just sent a modified version of @Daytonarc's language to both of Colorado's lay down progressive Senators. Don't expect much help from them. Especially if some special interest like Amazon is in their back pocket.

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I feel your pain out here the guys pack up and head out at Noon for lunch. I don't even need to look at the time. Usually I'm up flying and can see the procession of vehicles leaving. I know it must be lunchtime!

Yup Ultracote Flame Red it is! Well now I'm glad we got that mystery solved. LOL I'm not sure I'm going to bother replacing the Monokote for now. You really can't see it. ;) I'll bet the factory ran out of Monokote and grabbed the closest red they had on hand to finish the order. Why bother...

Ok it's done. Checked the CG it didn't move. Turns out the repaired area is almost right under the wing tube. Weighs 18 pounds. As soon as the weather and my schedule permit it's going out flying again.

Just for clarification I'm not complaining. Just putting this out for clarification. The airplane don't know what color it is and will still fly well.

    Ordered my Su-26

To be honest the covering on the airframe acted a lot like Ultracote to me. That's why I confirmed with Herve before ordering covering. It sure doesn't match does it? Oh, and the assembly manual says Ultracote. Professionals utilizing premium Ultracote covering carefully covered your model. and...

Monokote Missile Red really? Oh well it's done. Time to put the cowl back on and shop for a prop. Then I'll put it back in the Vanessa and see where the cg moved to with that extra wood.

The PAU Sukhoi is large for the 50cc category. I haven't tried to put it in my suburban yet. I use a trailer. Heck I don't even take the planes out except for maintenance. In fact a club buddy has the H9 Sukhoi and side by side they don't look that much different in size. I'll try to get a photo...

    Ordered my Su-26

Well other than the other issues stated previously. I think It's a great airframe for IMAC Basic. I don't know about the upper classes where you need the power for multiple snaps on long up-lines. I wanted a 70 but at the time they were sold out. I decided since the plane was designed around...
