Not sure on the pitts style mufflers, but on my other engines I've had awesome luck with this stuff...

Switched gears (so to speak) this weekend and fixed up my beater rig. Has an entirely new exhaust (not manifolds) and ignition components. Of course I fix 10 things and 5 more pop up like ball joints, wheel bearings, and the fan clutch won't disengage  The joys of owning a Jeep...

    Discussion Pilot Laser

I agree, I think it looks more like a cross between a Slick and a Laser, than a true Laser. I think the cowl has a lot of inspirations from the Krill Laser.

Yup. I stuck them inside of the stabs to keep the appearance clean on the outside.

Did a little flying with the 105 this weekend. Added 4oz of lead to the tail after Terry Wiles suggested it, now it rotates much better :) I'd say this bad boy is ready for the AMA Expo West in a couple of weeks :epic:

Odd. Both of my DA120's started very easily. I rock the crank (by spinning the spinner by hand) back and forth a handful of times until I can hear the carb suck fuel in with the choke on, then I hit the ignition and flip it once. After it pops, I'll do the same again about 20 times and flip it...

Question? Hitec servo compare- mini vs micro

Low Profile are fine. No plans for an HV low profile. We have the D777MG but it's not HV.

    Yippee! What the postman brought

Got my new USA Trains Boxcar yesterday :D:oblong: These are evidently made in the USA, says so right on the bottom of the car. Comparing it to my German cars from Piko, the quality of the trucks and couplers seems to be lower, looks much more like it was made from remelted plastic (lots of...

The GP123 is the most powerful 120 class engine out there. Turns more RPM's with the same prop as the DA120. They are dead reliable too, it's got me thinking...

Discussion The I’m going out flying thread 2018

Well I flew several times this weekend, but I'm not supposed to say what I flew. All I can tell you is that it was small, fast, and foam :oblong::D:D I think you guys will like this one, and as soon as I'm allowed to say, I'll tell you guys all about it. But until then, here is a teaser picture...

Question? Hitec servo compare- mini vs micro

I personally use the HS-5565MH servo for throttle duty. It's an adequately durable servo with a coreless motor that provides dead accurate centering. I've used half a dozen of these over the years and thus far (knock on wood) have yet to have one develop any kind of slop. I don't use the...

Question? Hitec servo compare- mini vs micro

Yes. Throttle is a unique application. The carb doesn't need more than 2 oz/in to open or close it, so literally any servo you have will be more than overly adequate to operate the carb. However, there are 2 important factors when choosing a throttle servo: 1. Centering. Or rather, since the...

Question? Hitec servo compare- mini vs micro

I don't suggest micro or mini servos in glow/gas airplanes. The small surface mount components can't handle the vibrations and we often see them fail prematurely.

Discussion The I’m going out flying thread 2018

Everybody settle down... This just allows the FAA the authorization to make new rules that blanket everything for the future. There is nothing set in stone here, and for all we know it will exempt AMA or "CBO" members from the hard regulations. The FAA has discussed many times about how...

If it makes you feel any better, this is our street in Yuma AZ 2 days ago... So much for the driest county in the US.. Interestingly enough, behind the retaining wall is a 10ft deep pit for overflow. It was completely fully :oblong:

Piko was being offered at 20% off because the USA distribution for Piko is local. Might go pick another car up this week or next, and possibly some track.

I think I just made a huge mistake yesterday fellas... :oblong::confused::eek::eek::eek: The LTS (Local Train Store) was having a 20% off sale on Piko trains, so I picked up this starter set and an additional hopper car (silver) for a steal. Unfortunately their store was listed for sale...

Negative, just use the exact same tubing size, spread open with a pair of pliers.
