3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC

3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC thread I'm not sure... I'm bringing home an orange 71 and I'm pretty sure she'll ask why I need 2 of the same plane in different sizes. Then I'll have to explain to her that I also have a 42" slick! :)

3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC

3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC thread I actually have a separate "hobby card" that is linked to my old account from before we got married. But that's not the issue. I keep all my planes in my office/theater room "man cave"... She came in to watch a movie one time and out of nowhere asked...

3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC

3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC thread The 71" slick would have to wait a month for electronics! This should sell over the weekend at the Huckfest!

3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC thread Trust me- I know the feeling! It's even worse when you have the money, but the wife would kill you if you brought home an 89" Slick!

3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC

3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC thread With the addition of a 51 and 71 slick, I'll be parting with my 42"! Let me know if anyone's interested! This plane is history in the making, not only a classic scheme, but it was the first plane EVER to sport 3drcforums vinyl! :)

3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC

3DHS --FLY LOW-- Always OFF TOPIC thread I'm glad you're getting RF and a 71" Slick! We talked about the slick forever the other day- nice to see we both have one on the way!

Inverted harrier, how do you conquer it?

Correct- that why a sim is the best place to start. Even if it's not the best sim, just getting your fingers and brain used to the corrections is the most important part! The sim and crack yak were vital while I was learning! The EF edge and My slicks are the best at it though!

Inverted harrier, how do you conquer it?

Inverted is ballsy! It's actually much more stable, but the giblets interfere! It's easiest done low so you can see your corrections and quickly adjust as needed. My biggest tip is to first make sure you are using a plane that does it well, then constantly blip or pulse the throttle. That...

    The 3DRCForums -Discuss Anything Thread-

The 3DRCForums -OFF TOPIC- Thread I built the Stevens aero groove g-480! Gave it to a buddy to cover and he flew it for a while! Flew really nice, but it was 2004 so I can't recall what it was like compared to the newest models!

    Extreme Flight Owners Thread

Congrats- that same schemed edge was what really took me to the next level in 3d! Loved that plane so much I got the 60"!

The 3DRCForums -OFF TOPIC- Thread Yeah, my buddy wasn't using xoar because of that same issue. It's a definite give and take! Every time he harrier landed, he couldn't taxi the plane back because of the bend. On the same note, he sucks and that same bend probably would save him a carbon gear...

    The 3DRCForums -Discuss Anything Thread-

The 3DRCForums -OFF TOPIC- Thread It definitely can save you damage on a bad landing, but it was annoying me on good landings! It's all preference! Like I said- you will be happy with either! I flew both before I bought mine and just preferred the EF.

    The 3DRCForums -Discuss Anything Thread-

The 3DRCForums -OFF TOPIC- Thread No brand war needed- I recommended the EF 48" edge, but prefer the 51" AJ Slick, in 60 size I prefer EF, then go back to 71" slick in the 25% size. As for more people owning the plane: there are thousands of posts out there for both planes, so I don't think...

    The 3DRCForums -Discuss Anything Thread-

The 3DRCForums -OFF TOPIC- Thread Yeah I always recommend the 4s setups on the 48's. I love the tumbles on that edge! It was also my first balsa plane that I harrier landed more than regular land! Loved that edge!

The 3DRCForums -OFF TOPIC- Thread Gyro, I know the 3dhs edge isn't one of my favorites, but I haven't flown the shp- do you prefer that over the EF edge?

    The 3DRCForums -Discuss Anything Thread-

The 3DRCForums -OFF TOPIC- Thread I like the EF 48" edge a bit better than the 3dhs... The slick is my favorite overall, but comparing the edges, the EF one was better to me, also like the carbon fiber gear over the wire gear on the 3dhs. I also recommend going to 4s on the 48", you'll...

The 3DRCForums -OFF TOPIC- Thread 48" EF edge is my favorite in that size or step up to the 51" slick!

    The 3DRCForums -Discuss Anything Thread-

The 3DRCForums -OFF TOPIC- Thread The 5245's are quicker, stronger, and more precise, but it's all relative to your budget. Some beginner 3d guys don't really notice a huge difference, but there is quite a bit of difference! I would say they aren't necessary, but if you're investing that much...
