Discussion The I’m Going/Went Flying Thread

This day was made better when I got home and the little girl saw the plane and asked to see it fly. Quick flight in the yard and made her day letting her carry it back to the house.

Never ceases to amaze me at how much fun this plane is. Went flying on my lunch break today to use up the charged batts I didn't use on my camping trip because of wind. So four nice flights completed one of which was just stay low flying inverted figure eights. I took note that my DX9 is...

Another flight in the books. Only two total so far but I like it so far. Did some inverted flight with it this flight and just amazing how stable this thing is. I will need to add in some more throw to the elevator though. Only has about 1/4" of down travel and I found quick as soon as I began...

The Habu flew today. Sweet little jet and is just as it is described. A trainer in the shape of a jet. So stable and easy to fly yet will scoot right along when you throw the coals to it

Well apparently letting it just ride in the camper was a bad idea. Oh well still gonna fly it. Can fix it when I get home.

Gave the UMX Timber its own personal hangar for the day. Going on a camping trip and seems the perfect time to shoot some touch-n-goes off the beach on the Eastern Shore and it fits perfect in the door opening on our popup. Was going to put floats on it for the weekend but the weather shows a...

Scale Wendell Hostetler 30% PA-28 Cherokee Build

I've been using parchment paper for the last 6-7 years and I think it works better. Against epoxy or wood glue they are both basically the same but with CA parchment paper lets go easier. My advice when using CA is try to remove to part within an hour though or the CA will finally soak in and...

Yeah we plan to move in with my inlaws until either the right house or right piece of property comes up. We have found a few we really liked already but we can't afford two mortgages and with the market being so hot I don't think any seller would agree to terms of us buying their place on the...

Kind of a sad day. Wife and I have decided we think we want to sell the house. Need to get it cleaned up and presentable so stuff in my shop that isn't being used is getting relocated for a while. The start of that was my stack of logs I had milled a couple years ago then some RC supplies. The...

Yes I have a couple of the CHL batteries and like them. A few of my Probro buddies swear by them. They have also had good results with the Turnigy Graphene batts.

A buddy of mine had the big one for a while and liked it. He actually had it while he was still living in AK but sold off alot of his stuff before coming back to VA a few months back. I flew his 84" a couple of times when he lived here the first time and it was pretty awesome. For me 2200mah 4S...

Looks good. Sad you have to replace the floats especially with the cost of new ones. I want one of the TBM's so bad but I don't want an electric setup that big.
