Bart they notice now, past couple days, membership ain't "HAPPY" FAA may be listening to the idea of using our ama# for registration, but that seems bout all they "MAY" get. Do you think they will sue? I guess I wouldn't be surprised, but really sue the FEDS :lol2:

Are you going to register with the FAA? Cast Your Vote!

I don't trust ama at all. This BS they shoveling now, is nothing more than give them time to help with "STREAM LINING" registration. They have been flooded with upset members for past couple days, and "NOW" they decide they can do something. BULL :dancing-poop:.

Petitioning AMA members for separation from drones

Absolutely Kevin, just opinions, and different ideas, that's always "AWESOME" to share, that's one way we learn. Honestly it's main reason I love this site, seems most can act like adults, with differences in opinions, without it going into my dad can kick your dad's ass drama stuff. I'm no...

Petitioning AMA members for separation from drones

What is sad is that the AMA, their input and voice were completely ignored by the FAA. AMA got spanked and sent back to Muncie with their tail between their legs. Our AMA pushed us to the curb and went "all in" thinking they would get a windfall with the registration of all these new drone...

Petitioning AMA members for separation from drones

I am a FOG, while not a traditional FOG, I am one none the less lol. Kevin don't get me wrong I like the FPV stuff, just not worth allowing them at the field, at the cost of model aviation.

Petitioning AMA members for separation from drones

I don't think ama could look any worse than they do now, screw FAA's eyes. I really don't think calling, writing the FAA will have any effect on this outcome. Registration is here, and the only options you have are to register, or not, or is there another option? Why yes there is, and it's on a...

Petitioning AMA members for separation from drones

I'm, wondering same thing, where does it go after 100 signatures? I noticed the other petition floating around, said it needed 500, now it's saying it needs 1000.

Are you going to register with the FAA? Cast Your Vote!

Sadly Bart it's looking that way to me also. The only thing I can find where ama is doing anything about stopping this registration crap is a Petition they filed last year http://amablog.modelaircraft.org/amagov/2014/08/22/ama-files-petition-for-review-of-faas-interpretive-rule/ Everything...

Are you going to register with the FAA? Cast Your Vote!

I voted no, but looks like ama is going to assist faa with signing up ama members. Streamline it, possibly use your ama# for your reg.#

FAA Announces their rules for radio controlled aircraft

I don't have much faith in ama suing the FAA. This ( Sec. 336 Special Rule for Model Aircraft) is what ama was using as a platform to stand on, and FAA said buck off.

FAA Announces their rules for radio controlled aircraft

Because AMA threw us under the bus, by lumping us in with the drones, and quads, all for nothing more than greed, seeing $$$$ in more memberships sold. Hell they suggested while on the task force for this faa sh*t, was no don't worry bout AMA members, only non ama members need to register...
