Servo setup: EPA, current, and linkages

Actually that seems like a great idea. I do happen to have another 6208. SO the game plan is to Make room for the RX. 2 TP RX packs into the WOlverine(2 switches) JR Leads from the TP packs, one into each receiver. Wolverine leads one to each Receiver. Sort of ironic you mentioned it. It...

    91" Extra 300-EXP ARF

    Doesn't look like it's doing too bad on a stock 61 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfdHO30hc0c

Servo setup: EPA, current, and linkages

THanks for the input guys. Cody, that was my thought too. Been wanting to upgrade to the 6014HS for a while but haven't yet. Payday is next week so it'll have to wait. For now I'm running the Y-Harness to see if that helps. I have a bunch of spare heavy duty extensions from TDRC I can...

Servo setup: EPA, current, and linkages

It's a good idea. I thought about getting one of Taildraggers y harness, but I was hoping to be able to just cut out the voltage being issued through the Wolverine for the ignition and run the ignition straight off the packs additional jr plug, then have both leads from the Wolverine for the...

Servo setup: EPA, current, and linkages

Glad I found this thread. Having problems with blowback on my 91" Extra. Running BLS157s all around, Futaba R6208SB rx, Wolverine Switch(only one lead supplying power...ran out of channels) DA60 ProFlow can All correct linkages. smart fly cutoff Only really notice blowback on...

    Is it true?....Solar Powered?

I read somewhere a couple months ago that you guys(the Smith family) were using a solar charging setup. Is it true? And if so if you could shed some light on the setup. If not mods feel free to delete.

Who would be interested in an entirely new type of competition?

Any update on this? I'm sure if things get going something could be set up for the end of summer in the NW if not sooner. I have a bunch of involvement in mountain and road bike races. Would be cool to set something up over here.

Who would be interested in an entirely new type of competition?

I like the idea of repositioning especially for the less advanced classes. Keeps it safe since we will be keeping it low. EDIT

    91" Extra 300-EXP ARF

I don't know enough about running smoke. I'd like to play around with it a bit later on. Maybe a different airframe. Smoke looks rad though...gives it that nice scale touch.

    91" Extra 300-EXP ARF

I can't tell you from experience but after a bunch of lurking and searching on FG, A tuned pipe has the most power over stock exhaust by few hundred RPM.(KS1060) RE2 supposedly has better midrange performance but both are peaky, so more for precision than if you are a hucker. Stock Pitts...

    60" Extra 300 EXP

Thanks!! Going to try to get some more video when the weather lets up. The iphone only does so good a job. Need to invest in a decent camcorder. That 60" is my basically my first balsa plane. Maiden was July 4th 2012. Flew a scratch built flat foamy for a couple months before that and started...

    Extreme Flight Owners Thread

Right on... it looks nice. I almost caved and bought one instead of the DA60 for the 91" but they went out of stock It's good though, cause I'm tired of looking at this empty 91". Got the Engine, Mejzlik 28x1TH prop, 4 servos, ProFlow Can, need 2 more BLS157s, header kit, batteries, switches and...

    60" Extra 300 EXP

figured I would shamelessly plug my pond flight. Took a couple months to finally get the field to myself to hit up the pond. I have to admit I haven't been flying the 60" all that much this winter. The foamies have kept me pretty content and I had to get used to being smooth again. I was all...

    91" Extra 300-EXP ARF

300 bones isn't that much if you consider the total cost of the airframe, servos, hardware/accessories, batteries, exhaust etc.. I figure if you plan on getting a DA, skimping on the motor now you'll be able to put that towards servos or exhaust and it'll most likely prove to be an investment...

    91" Extra 300-EXP ARF

That's pretty much what I did. 3 months basically is what it looks like it's going to take me. THe weather sucks up here right now anyway. The 60" extra will have to suffice.

Who would be interested in an entirely new type of competition?

I'm totally down with something like this. My thoughts were it would be routine based but with 3D and high energy precision maneuvers. More like a IMAC freestyle type event with said maneuvers having to be performed within a pilots routine, time frame and judged accordingly. Style point...

    60" Extra 300 EXP

I want to try a 6s setup. I pretty much have only flown the 60" on my 5S Hacker setup. But it's spinning a fatty carbon 16x8 prop with no issues. I have a few Haiyin 3s 3300mah packs I could run in series and I actually have a 15x6 Xoar that I bought thinking I was going with a Torque setup...
