    Best 3s 2200mAh?

If you like the Glaciers and GensAce packs, take a look at the ValueHobby Elite series... I started looking for a good 3S/3300 pack when my Rhinos and NanoTechs started going bad. Cell for cell they're about the lightest thing out there, and a 30C pack seems to perform like other brands' 45C...

    HazzBro's EEv2 / VVRC 40cc twin

Finally figured out what I want to do with the chin. Since I'm a few oz heavy on the nose already, I decided to end the tubes and motor mount blocks at the firewall where I'm going to bolt up the engine anyway... Everything above, below or forward of the engine is just cosmetic anyway, right...

    HazzBro's EEv2 / VVRC 40cc twin

I also noticed I glued the laminated pieces with the wire channel to the top side instead of the middle. It still makes a nice channel once sheeted, but doesn't line up with the cutouts in the formers... Easy fix. -Case

    HazzBro's EEv2 / VVRC 40cc twin

At first, laying out formers I thought I was missing a few pieces. The kit designer said to cut them from the 1/4x1x36 stock that makes up most of the fuse, but there's plenty of leftover 1/4 sheet once the cut parts are removed... After the build, I'll have to get out my trusty balsa stripper...

An hour's progress last night... Out to the shop for more now. - Case

    HazzBro's EEv2 / VVRC 40cc twin

Bench is all clear and ready for action. It looks like Backslider and HazzBro did me a huge favor and bundled everything up in sub-assemblies so I can shelve the bits I'm not ready to use in each phase of the build. And now I have to take a brief pause to read through the while build thread...

    HazzBro's EEv2 / VVRC 40cc twin

Some pipe p0rn to go with the balsa p0rn! Just playing around with some stuff in the shop... -Case PS: I guess it's worth noting that the profile fuse in the pics with the 40cc twin, headers, and cans IS NOT THE AIRFRAME on which I'm mounting the twin! (That's a WWRC 20cc...

Is it a scratch build or a kitbash? Of what? OMP Hybrid? -Case

    HazzBro's EEv2 / VVRC 40cc twin

Yeah, since the chin piece is purely cosmetic anyway, I think it will be fine. I'm still debating whether I'll go with a tri-stock/braced wood firewall or just angle aluminum... - Case

    HazzBro's EEv2 / VVRC 40cc twin

So, a friend who shall - for now - remain un-named, asked what header drop I would need for a set of canisters... Just as I set the engine on the plans and measured for a 3" drop, I realized the first problem I'm going to have to build my way around... bottom carb. Hazz ran the fuse tubes all...

    HazzBro's EEv2 / VVRC 40cc twin

There's a LOT of interest in this engine, and I need to get into a different style of building or else my design contest entry will end up looking just like a Swany, WWRC, or TriFlyer plane... More than one way to skin a cat, and I've spent enough time rebuilding the Iowa-built EE60 I figure...

E-flite Beast 60e Aerobatic RC Plane, ARF

Oh, wow... sorry for my fever-induced first post! Really, I'm running about a 104 with the flu today... I just re-read what I wrote, and a n0oB preaching a product in post#1 never looks good. Apologies. Yes, I've used the EagleTree Guardian 2D/3D, the Spektrum AR635, and both generations of...

E-flite Beast 60e Aerobatic RC Plane, ARF

Why not drop an EagleTree Guardian in there? AS3X effect, 2D (stabilization) and 3D (full heading-hold) options, and master gain control right on the Tx... Just takes a 3-position switch and you can see how it flies with or without on the same flight... The way I see it, I've had SO much fun...
