Craig, 6 and 7 are to see if the plane is trimmed for all throttle settings (roll and yaw). Often when we trim at a mid-high throttle setting, when the power is reduced, the trim we have for the higher power setting will now induce a roll or yaw because of such a low power setting (idle)...

I have to have 300+ Though I don't fly on a constant basis- this plane easily gets 6 packs through it almost every time I go out. It has spent time in the garage while I focus on another model (e.g. 60" Edge EXP), but I seem to always migrate back to that Extra. I really like that plane, and...

60" Edge EXP Build and Fly

Actually, one of the planes in Matt's Avatar was one of mine....his city is just up the street. Matt- how is that motor working out? Brand new set of ceramic bearings from Boca Bearing in there...sounded great when I flew it last, before I sold it.

60" Edge EXP Build and Fly

60" Edge EXP Build and Fly

Sounds like the easiest method yet. I use ultra cote and just cut a thin strip (3/4"?) and lay it into the gap, then seal from one end to the other with a trim iron. It works well as well, but you need ultra cote and a trim iron. With Ohio's idea...you need a $2 roll of packing tape and a...

I use about 300-310F. It starts to shrink at 300F. I use a trim iron where possible.

60" Edge EXP Build and Fly

Guys, For KE spins- try this: once established in the spin, reduce the throttle slightly and DECREASE the rudder input to about 1/2 deflection- then begin to play a bit with the throttle. It will really increase the rotation rate significantly. Sounds mean too! :D
