Definitely agree on the training aspect. Get one or two airframes that you can fly the piss out of. i have my small EF MXS that I fly at my house, which I also take with me every time to the field. I also have my 50cc which I've gotten really good with. Flying one plane consistently will get you...

Cost comparison, budget 60cc versus top shelf 30cc

I would look into a used 50. That way you can get good equipment for a good price

Tat was some great advice! I'm going to take that into great consideration when I put a freestyle together and start flying. Thanks Cody!

    Suggestions, Tips Welcome

Not only will real flight teach you how to fly, later in your experience it will help you hone your skills. When the weathers bad, or if you want to try a new maneuver, the sim is great. It's helped me learn how to do rollers, knife edge spins, rolling loops, weeble wobbles, crankshaft.. Etc...

Cost comparison, budget 60cc versus top shelf 30cc

In the long run, you will save time, money, and get much better. Agreed. That's why if you can get top of the line 50... That's what's up :D

Cost comparison, budget 60cc versus top shelf 30cc

The thing about 50's, as I'm sure you know, is the wing loading is much less due to the much higher wing area and the very slight weight difference. There are a few nice flying 30cc planes, but I would much rather fly a 50.

Discussion Attempting applying monokot over ultracote with Windex

Monokote... That's some funky stuff. Ultra cote seems to work better

Cost comparison, budget 60cc versus top shelf 30cc

50cc planes fly better. The engines are cheaper and run better than a good 30cc plane. Definitely the budget 50
