yes, that would be fun, Regarding the gyro, probably one of the best examples I have it in is the 48 laser, great flying plane stock, but with the cortex it's like flying the 64 mxs, amazing- 3dRCparts.com

got my gp61 yesterday, but I have no plane for it yet, I do have a pilot 87" 260 extra coming and I also bought a used 88" EF extra that should be here next month, which plane gets the gp61 and which one gets the DA 50 with pitts that I have? Recomemdations?- 3dRCparts.com

you unpluged the red wire from the ESC? Then all you need to do is calibrate the throttle by setting the end points of your radio to 150/150, throttle all the way up, plug in esc, wait for 2 beeps, pull trottle all the way down, and your done- 3dRCparts.com
