    35 Sbach Scratchbuild

Ok, as you can see here, in my hurried, excited state, I forgot one of the spars was warped a little. Now, when I saw this, I panicked and thought the build was lost. After calming down and studying the situation a bit, I decided to cut the sheeting along the spar, glue the sheeting to the ribs...

Now to the wings. I actually built them first, so there's not many pics as my excitement was so high, I couldn't bare to stop and take any. But here you go. Basic wing construction I guess. You build the wings upside down, starting by laying the spars on the plans, and placing the pre cut ribs...

The rudder. No issues, just a change to the plans. You can see, I changed the bottom bracing for a little more support. I've read of others having problems when covering with the bottom piece warping if stretched tightly, so I decided to eliminate that problem for myself.

Progression shots of the fuselage and elevator/horizontal. Like I said before, simple cut and glue over the plans up to this point. No real issues to report thus far. For those who have never scratch built, its a wise idea to cover your plans with wax paper to avoid gluing your parts to them...

    35 Sbach Scratchbuild

Just getting started. This is an Sbach 35 stick build. Its all cut and glue over the plans. Its my first experience, and I've gotta say, its went pretty well thus far. Here, I've finished the ailerons and started the fuselage and elevator. As you can see, its got a tube in the fuselage that...

I'll also be putting a version in RF 6.5 if I can get the physics setup well enough. http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29685

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4tnSrPUqrM&feature=youtube_gdata_player Ok then.....lets start of with a few videos. There's not much on this plane as its not really a mass produced model. In fact, I'm not even sure its being made anymore. I'll start posting pics later on when I'm at my PC, so...

Thanks gyro. Would this be the right sub forum to put the build? Or should I move it somewhere else?

    35 Sbach Scratchbuild

I've got a current build going on, but I see a lot of interest here is in bigger gassers and electrics instead of the smaller glows. I'm just not ready for that jump yet, financially or ability wise. So, if there's interest, I'll do a recap of my progress up to the current point. Here's where...

    RealFlight 6 Models

Just found this thread. I do custom 3D modeling in RF. I'll upload some of my files here when I can get to my computer, but I'm always looking for requests. Now, my physics are usually lacking in reality, but that's due largely to my inexperience. With that being said, feel free to suggest away...

    New Here? Introduce yourself!

Guess its time to quit lurking. My name is Andy. I reside in central Arkansas. I'm fairly new to flying, really, but I'm starting to dabble in mild 3D. Just finished gluing the nose back on my plane after a mishap during a low harrier. It seems you don't have near the control with dual rates...
