    91 Corvus and Compy MX2.

Yea, I was in just the absolute wrong spot. Too high for a low hover crash, and too low to speed up and save the plane. Broke the tail off, and since it came in upside down with the prop at the 12, it snapped the motorbox too....

Yea Snowdog, most of us are Nebraska, Iowa, South/North Dakota, Misery (i mean Missouri:distrust:) but Illinois definitely counts as Midwest.

    91 Corvus and Compy MX2.

Man both of those make me feel pretty good about my bad run of luck this spring. Sleepy, I am not sure I woudl have handled losing $3K in equipment very well to a battery! I did that to a little 48" electric and fried the ESC and RX (about $100) and was beyond pissed. This year has been a little...

Giant Scale Axel Oil anyone make the stuff?

http://www.amazon.com/Maxima-74920-Chain-Wax-Aerosol/dp/B0012TZ1RU This is what I used on my squeeky wheels. I have it on hand since I also use it on my mountain bikes and quads chain's (wheeled things that you try and kill yourself on, not those weird flying things)

    5-6 lb 60 Yak55 From General Hobby

I really like a 4cell set up on that size. That way I can run doubled up packs in 25% ers. I like the motrolfly 4315/714 with a 100a ztw or castle esc. Servos are tricky. I run hitec 5245 but have had some issues. Generally they are good though. Savox just did come out with a good mini servo...

    Rolling Harrier Loops

Funny you say smaller plane, I tried for years with small planes because I was too chicken with my 40% er and never could nail them. When I sacked up and tried it with my big stuff, I nailed it first time. The small planes are just a little fast for me.

    120 or 150 for a 40% Cap?

Plus you can get used DA150's for substantially less than a DA120 all day everyday. And they just always run, 150's are the best motor out there, adn quite a few of them are nearing 170 power if they are broken in right and treated nice.

    GSN Huckfest???

SleepyC I just noticed your tag "640cc Uber Pimp" haha nice! and I wish that I could make it down to Rolla, bad timing with another kid on the way in that timeframe.

    2-stroke oil,what works,what doesn't

I just looked at redline's site (http://www.redlineoil.com/Products.aspx?pcid=16), they have a bunch of varieties for 2 stroke oil, what kind are most you redline guys using?

    2-stroke oil,what works,what doesn't

I was thinking about swapping HP Ultra (easy to get in lincoln at the hardware stores) for Redline. The HP ultra does leave some black oil residue on my planes, but Im not really sure what the ratio is and im too lazy to calculate it. I dump a "makes 2.5 gallons" into a 2 gallon can I have that...
