Aerobeez 64" 20% Scale Electric Conversion MXS-R At Joe Nall 2015

Just look up the Rimfire motors at Tower Hobby, they are good motors. A guy at our club it running a Rimfire 50cc equivalent motor in his Redwing 89" MXS, it pulls like a freight train and sounds awesome.

Nice hucking on a windy day. You are getting really good flight times from those 5000 packs, that is impressive.

Bushwacker, I'm not actually sure, I set up a Mezon 6 months ago for my 71 Extra but I had a single 6S pack and honestly forgot what I did. And I haven't set up the ESC for my Slick yet. I watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fERTLX-rY7A and it helped a lot, you can also call...

No classifieds on RC Groups, it's a much larger forum. Just used search term Jeti when looking for radios, or DS-16 if that's the one you want. When I bought mine there was at least one DS-14 for sale as well.

    64" mxs exp

Haha, MXS-R, yeah, sneaked that in there hoping nobody would notice..... I actually think the 4320 would be perfect, I've been told the Aerobeez flies a little heavy on electric since it's actually a gas plane, so it could probably use the power and weight of that motor. I would not put the 4320...

Aerobeez 70″ Slick PRO Step By Step Build Guide

I was able to get a 6 month old DS-16 for $1100, it's like new, wasn't even a scratch on it. If you are in the market for a Jeti check the classified, there were two for sale when I bought mine. Most will never part with them but you never know. Also the color version is coming out this year...

    64" mxs exp

It would likely work but it's 3.5 ounces heavier tham the motor everyone seems to choose, the 4315-500. I wonder if there would be room to move the battery back far enough to offset the added weight on the nose. It would probably be better suited the heavier Aerobeez 64 MXS.

Another cool thing about Jeit is it's really easy to upgrade when new software updates come available, it uses an SD card for memory so when you plug it into the computer it sees it as a drive you can open as a folder, just drag the software into the folder and it will update. All the switches...

Bushwacker, the DS-14 has most of the features one would ever need. The deal breaker for me was the plastic gimbals. The DS-16 has 100% CNC machined aluminum gimbals, they will not break! Speaking of gimbals they are buttery smooth, feels so great when flying. I bought mine used on the RC...

Aerobeez 70″ Slick PRO Step By Step Build Guide

Bushwacker, the Jeti radio is a piece of industrial art. Expensive but possibly the last radio you'll ever buy. There are NO PLASTIC parts other than the screen. Its a very difference user interface, I'm warming up to it as I learn more about it. I was starting to tire of cheap Spektrum build...

Bushwacker, do you have a Spektrum question? I've used Spektrum for years, although I am in the process of switching to Jeti.

    Parallel Charging Pros and Cons

Wait a minute Xpress, an iCharger? Not a Hitec? Actually the iChargers are awesome, been wanted to upgrade to one of those sweet dual port models.

    Parallel Charging Pros and Cons

If I field charged I'd have an easier time justifying the cost. But since I bring charged packs to the field I need at least 4 or 5. That is $1000 in packs. To me that's a lot of money, although to serious heli pilots it's nothing. I had a buddy with over $2000 in batteries for his Goblin 700...

    Parallel Charging Pros and Cons

I've used the fuse protected P-boards from BuddyRC for years. With my more expensive packs I charge them in parallel until they get to about 4.1v/cell and then I go one at a time finishing up so I don't have problems like what Xpress described. I need to get all my packs done the day before as...

    The 3DRCForums -Discuss Anything Thread-

In San Diego county, it's nearly impossible to find enough level ground for a flying field. Rolling hills everywhere.

Help With Motor Timing and Poor Throttle Response (Gecko 120HV)

I've had problems with 3 ZTW ESC's in the last year (2 Geckos and a Mantis), gave up on them. I bought a Jeti radio a few months ago and have been switching over to Jeti Mezon controllers. They are expensive but I'm not the guy with 8-10 planes anymore which makes it seem more affordable.

Another reason I love Motrofly, they never seem to heat up, even in the middle of summer, they come down barely warm.

I hate the look of SFG's but I love what they can do for 3D flying.
