    A123 charge testing

The discharge curve being so flat, the checker needs to be that much more precise to actually have a worthy reading. Once or twice a year I fully discharge my batteries to check their real capacity. It also tells me how healthy my batteries are. I charge every flight so I don't check my...

Been working on my harriers... Question.

Yeah again to each is own about stick tension. I honnestly didnt think much about the soft for pinchers and stiff for thumbers thing before posting. Still, I really can't see how having soft throttle and stiff rudder can help in anything. Check your radios guys, I have yet to see a DX7...

Been working on my harriers... Question.

Being a thumber myself I solved the ''precision'' issue by adding more expo on all controls. Also something people often overlook is your stick tension on the radio. For some really odd reason, all Spektrum radios I get my hands on have a really soft setting on throttle friction and...

How many of you are running the new DA150L?

I use an Air Models 31x12 on my fat 150 with 1090 pipes. I'm not into all out thrust but a mix of good thrust and speed. I hated that prop at first but then I learned to love it and won't replace it with anything else. My plane is rather fat also at 42 lbs.

    3D and CG

Yeah I don't quite understand why I keep hearing tail heavy is better (easier) for 3D. Yes the elevator and to some extend rudder authority increase with a more tail heavy plane but it never makes it that much easier to fly. This is my opinion here : all you do by flying tail heavy planes is...

    Rolling harrier spin

My experience on that particular maneuver is somewhat limited in that I cannot do it 100% consistently but I got it down quite a few times so I'll do my best at sharing what works for me. You obviously do the same inputs are a rolling harrier. On my plane I saw that I needed to use 100%...

How many of you are running the new DA150L?

The DA150 has been a great engine (and still is) and I would get a DA150L before a 170 any day of the week. I admit I havent seen any 150L run though but I've seen quite a few 100L and they were all better than the original 100. Lighter, MUCH better throttle response and a little more powerful.

    Twisted hobbys

I'm at over 200 flights on my Telink Extravaganza and I still love it. I built 3 of them (1 for me and 2 for friends) and they were consistent and easy to build. And most of all they fly very good. I used to litterally hate foamies due to poor flying qualities but I can tell you these...

    120 or 150 for a 40% Cap?

Left stick is taxiing on the ground and take off. Then once in the air use the right stick to fly until its time to land.

    120 or 150 for a 40% Cap?

Yeah balance would likely be the real issue As for power, i honnestly think, while the 150 is going to be more fun, a strong 120 can do it easily up to intermediate. You can always add a good exhaust system if you are looking for more.
