New to GSN!
Here is the result of the similar process for the turtle-deck. I did not edge glue this one, just taped it together, placed it in the shuck, and then glued it all together.

This one is more likely to slide, so also keep a good look at it for the 1st 30 minutes.

Try taking pieces of masking tape,folding it on its self, stick the pieces to the shuck, then when you put the sheeting down , the tape will hold it in place. That's how I do it and I don't have a problem with it moving.

Have you posted the pictures yet?
If my wife finds out I am building a new airplane, I am in big trouble. She asked me to glue something for her, the lid one of her sugar bowls. I returned 2 hours later!! LOL!!

She has some shoes she wants me to glue the sole back on, in a few hours, I will go back out to the shop to "glue her shoe soles" back on!!

Cam = Samurai!

Also, I am quite paranoid, and Did not like the top brace not being reinforced, in between F2 and F3 and F3 and F4, that I had to reinforce it with 1/4" spruce.

I am making a mount extension for the new motor,.
this will be a total of 44 mm.

I ordered some 1/4" Finnish plywood, aircraft quality, from Aircraft Spruce. Cut 4 pieces, and glued them together with Titebond I.

I am using an SWB mount as a template. I believe the spacing is 80 mm by 90 mm for the holes.

the holes for the mounting are 1/4". But then I drilled two 5/16" holes next to each mounting hole. these will be filled with 5/16" poplar wood dowels.

I drilled out the center so that it will cut down on the weight.

I then laminated the front and back with G10 material, and clamped it together with bolts. I am using Epoxy resin, this should be cured by tomorrow morning. then I will sand down the edges and make it "pretty". I will also cut out the center hole from the G10 material, and then I will weigh it.
