Was that the winning flight?

BJ Swope

Yea, we all would have done better though if not for the wind. Day before would have been much better for freestyle with no wind at all, but it's all in fun and we had a great time:way_to_go:. We all had better flights throughout the weekend.

So I got a table saw. I always wanted one. And I made an edge true jig for it. Really simple. This weeken I want to start the sheeting. What part do you think is a good part to start with.

I agree with the Monkey as for non critical but they can be a bit tricky since they need some cauls and fillers at the rear. They also need to be misted with water on the face side where the tight radius' are after the resin is applied. This keeps the sheeting from cracking. Make sure to use very lite and pliable sheeting in those areas as well.

The canopy deck is also very easy, and small so it's a great starter part. Wings and stabs are a cake walk but are very important.

We sheeted Tylers entire plane in one day, three time lapse vids:

You will love the plane. I doubled the number of flights I had on mine this weekend pushing almost three gallons through it, and I beat on it like I hated it. Most of the weekend we had not even a whisper of wind......but as my luck would have it......when it's time for a 3D throwdown or demo flights we need 20-25 mph winds!!!

So when you get lemons you make lemonade! Ended up with a super cool harrier slide at the end, there were bonus points for surfaces touching the ground so I had to stop to get the rudder and got the stabs and wing tips at once with the slide, yeehaw! (watch the tail slide part at .25 speed on youtube)

It was a tad windy! But wow what a blast!, great job Terry!!
