IMAC hobby getting expensive

After being involved to 60 -90 size model helicopters since 1994 and active for over a decade all I can say now is giant scale gassers are relatively cheap and by far more enjoyable! This opinion is shared between a couple of my clubmates that followed the same route as well.

when I started this thread, its not what I had in mind about all the comments, of course things are getting more affordable then in the past.

But it got out of hand totally went south..

Well Forgues, on the original post you stated that you had a ton of ideas to make the hobby cheaper. Lets hear a few.

if you have followed any of my build threads, you will see I don't follow the mainstream and this is where people get off, when I attempted to do the same as this, on Flying Giant, I was shot down and ridiculed so now I feel I might have started something I am not prepared to follow through

This is a completely different site. I never would've posted my way of building anything on FG or RCU. Everybody there knows more than I do and they don't hesitate to tell in not so kind ways. I'm not at all opposed to saying that I buy most of rc needs from fellow modelers who for one reason or another are selling some of their used stuff. I bought 11 hitec 645s from different guys right here on GSN. No shame, just saving some money and helping out another modeler.
