    Ok, it is a CC Thunderbird Controller. Not sure if it's the 36 or 54 but either way I think I will upgrade to something with a switching bec. Thanks for your help guys.

    The label is no longer on the esc. As soon as I can get parallels on my MacBook Pro I will use castle link to try to figure out what I have. I'm over 5000 feet above sea level so if I don't have to add any weight I'll be very happy.

    I bought the plane used and BNF so left everything where it was. After this happened I realized one of the antennas was resting on the carbon wing spar. I moved it and had a successful flight after that but I didn't fly it hard. Should I be running a separate BEC on this setup?

    Yeah, that's what I'm doin. I did spool it up and it has good power but I don't like such a small prop. Anyone need a good scorpion motor? It's for sale. I'll get it in the classifieds this evening.

    I just bought one of these (I'm a sucker for the yak 55m.) I got it in a package deal and it has a Scorpion 3014-1040kv motor in the cowl. Is it even worth trying it with this set up? I like slow 3d flight... Here's a link to the motor. It has an APC 9x6 prop right now...

    Today I remembered I have a 72 mHz TX and RX and I also got a spectrum receiver today so hopefully I can test these servos and see what's up. Think I'm gonna tell HK about these receivers and see what they say about it. Maybe they will replace them...

    I did plug in a power had servo first and it didn't move but the receiver still worked. I can't get the receivers to do anything right now.
