@Snoopy1 Lets do this! As mentioned before, The "Super Timmy" barge has landed in the US, and the planes will be delivered at Horizon Hobby tomorrow morning with an estimated ship date of this Thursday or Friday.

My LHS has one reserved for me from this first shipment!!! Wohooooooooooo EDIT: actually ended up ordering online due to shipping cost issues.

I'm going with (Edited):
DLE55RA w/ bowman ring, and VVRC ext throttle arm.

Falcon 23X8 CF Prop
XCub Sprung gear add on
Savox 2274 + 2270 rudder (used)
ProModeler DS305CLHV on the throttle.
PR 8.75" Bushwheels
Custom 3D Printed tail-wheel bracket on the stock tail gear w/2" wheel. Ask if you need one :)
TechAero IBEC
Booma PinFlag Switch

Well the 110" Timber is in stock online!!!

I called my LHS and inquired about it. He said his queue still says back ordered with an updated ETA in late August. Also the online shipping calculator quoted me $34 2nd day air... We were both shocked! He told me to pull the trigger online and see what happens since he has ten days to remove the back order. His profit margin is very small it turns out for something even this size and after local taxes, and freight charge on the barge it would hardly compete... plus it would take a couple weeks since it would be barged. A little disheartening knowing that Horizon would do this (for sale/in stock online first, push back an queue ETA that was submitted when the barge hit the water) to the brick and mortar shop. So we shall see!! It's been ordered!

Well read through the manual looks pretty straight forward nothing out of the ordinary. Need to still order some stuff for the plane. If everything goes as planed hope to put a couple of flights on the plane before the end of the season. This will be my first electric plane of this size so there will a learning curve. Still not sure how I am going to charge the two big batteries at the field.
Will be calling my LHS tomorrow morning to see what is happening.

Yep. Happens to me every day. Not just with Horizon but with all my distributors. I can compete with the on-line price, that is, until I have to add sales tax to a high dollar item. But that’s slowly changing as more and more states start to collect sales tax on internet orders.

It’s too bad. Even when he gives my the buddy rate, it’s just a little more than what I can get it for. No problem, I’m supporting my friend. But when they don’t fill his back order and post them online and push his (my) order back because of it is pretty low. Which is why we decided to try the online order first and cancel it when it goes through. Anywho, enough said.
I’ve got one coming regardless.

Living in Canada we do not have that option the border patrol catches us every time plus shipping cost so it is better to go through the LHS if they can get it.
