Thanks Snoop. I got to get "Duck Dodger" made for the "Alien Extra" first lol. Your kind words are touching but I have gotten pretty immune to first flight jitters ( although I do still get them to a degree) If it piles in..... This thing got saved from the trash can and even has parts pulled from the trash can . So be it if it happens but I don't think it will . The only reason I'm doing this is to show the FOG's that a "has been wanna be 3D pilot" (who is a right at FOG status himself) can make a "Real" airplane. It will be a good "ICE BREAKER" when confronting the "Temple Elders" for flying privilege's .

Oh! Let me correct myself......Still won't be done yet! lol.....Got the cooling shrouds to make and install, finish the exhaust details and put a 30 or 38cc 4cycle gasser on it.

Talking about four cycle engines I have a flying buddy the just hates computers and refuses to operate or even learn to operate them any way he asked me to find him a nice four cycle engine with a starter on because he wants to put it on a float plane, and not carry a running engine into the water. Well it took some time but I found one called a Gaui 50cc four stroke complete with starter gas engine. It is on its way will take some pictures of the engine when it arrives.

Talking about four cycle engines I have a flying buddy the just hates computers and refuses to operate or even learn to operate them any way he asked me to find him a nice four cycle engine with a starter on because he wants to put it on a float plane, and not carry a running engine into the water. Four strokes rock. I want to build a fun flyer 1/3 Cub and put the Valach 85 in it. Maybe later this year or maybe before I start the Bulldog II, should not take a month to build one.

All I know up to now is that it is going in a float plane he has several. All I know is that the engine had to be between 40and 50cc. I do know he is building a very large Beaver and I remember getting a three cylinder 85 cc four stroke for that plane.

Wow I like that one not too big and four stroke and only 85 cc. Why a cub how about a Taylor craft. And it has a starter.

It was 1/4” x 2” aluminum flat bar. I tapered it down to 1” at the wheels. 6061 I think but can’t remember.

Yes you are Correct the 0.177 is to light it will take off but if you land a little above one G the gear will be flat so need to make some changes. After doing some math it shows that I need 5 mm diameter wire or 0.196 inches. This diameter will carry just on 70lbs in is present configuration. But I cannot find piano wire at 5mm diameter or 0.195” if anyone can help were I can buy the wire is appreciated, thanks.

Actually looked at them as well, with Cubs being done to death it would be a refreshing change or maybe the EMHW Bellanca.
