Hey Snow dog - watch it again at 2:00 even.... he dropped it flat for about 200' it looks like.. Almost no rock - any there is appears to be gusts.

BTW Troy - if you're watchin this thread that was one of my favorite spots in the video

I took note of that elevator maneuver as well. Very clean and level.

Can't wait to see yours in the air Jeff!

I know the 50cc version is rock solid and can get tossed around like a rag doll with a DLE 55. The power combo with the 30cc looks to be even better with a 35ra and by the way it looks should have a lighter wing loading too! Thing is just going to be an awesome performer. Top of it's class! I talked to Troy (guy in the video) and he has had the 50cc version and says after a few flights it rolls, snaps and does everything a little quicker than a 50cc bird but is just as stable. Sounds like a good equation to a lot of fun

View attachment 18215Thanks guys, I'm glad you like the video. It really flys nice. I flew it again today, there was even more wind today and it did great. Here's a couple of pics.

Sorry for taking so long. I've had some personal issues this week. The good news is this plane is finished so let's catch you guys up. Attached are the pictures of cutting the cowl. I'm a professional chemist and take safety very seriously seeing as I'm trained on handling some dangerous things in my work. That translates to my shop for things that generate hazardous dust like cutting cowls.
The slits in the bottom of the cowl were what i saw troy doing in his thread on FG to get to the bottom cowl screws. Tim from Redwing suggested rare earth magnets but I wasn't able to find a good source of those.
