Is it just me or are there others who are getting fed up with EF shipping policy of place your order and then we will shock you with the shipping costs? All of the other premier companies out there give you a shipping calculator to figure shipping costs before you purchase the plane, what a unique idea.

This shipping topic comes up quite often these days. I too fell in love with several EF planes, saved the money and when I went to buy them the shipping postponed my plans. I loved my 64" mxs so much that I bit the bullet and paid the expensive shipping to get one. I agree a shipping calculator would avoid the heart ache and having to wait on a quote.

I wish there was a better way to get these planes to my house. If there was, I would own many more of them. Sorry to hear your going through what many of us already has.

I believe the reason for the delayed shipping quote is because they charge you exactly what the shipping costs. I may be wrong, but with a shipping calculator, the company overestimates the cost and you pay. EF's idea is to keep the shipping as low as possible by only charging exactly what it costs.

On a few product pages they give the box dimension and you can goto UPS's website and get the shipping before their discount. Ask Curtis and he will tell you what it is.

Again, the best thing to do is to get a group buy together and ship all of them freight. $125 to a commercial address up here and I have heard prices within $25 of that to most of the central and eastern US

Yeah, the topic comes up a lot but I've yet to see any plane from any other comparable company that can sell and ship the same size plane for less. Keeping in mind that I've owned Pilot, Aeroworks, Extreme Flight, 3DHS, Great Planes, Godberg, Sig, Hangar 9, and probably few others, the only planes worth my money right now come from Extreme Flight and 3DHS. One way or another, when they hit the front porch, and the pretty blonde rings the bell and sprints back to the brown truck, they are about the same price to a residential address.
