Been kind of busy lately. But I did pay some much needed attention to the Pilot Edge yesterday and last night. Taildraggin' on asphalt will take its toll on sheet plastic covered soft wood.

A little cutting, a little shaping and a little covering and she's ready for a little more grinding.

It looks ok...not perfect but it'll do. I added one of those Dubro wing tip skids to help protect the bottom of the rudder. Is it going to help? Mmm...probably not so much. But it can't hurt. Lol

I figured while I was at it, I would replace those "Harriered" landing wheel pants. One was ok...the other? Quite rattie!

Out with the tattered, in with the new.

And so while I'm at it, why not do a little covering tightening and oh hey, now is as good of a time as any to install the Graupner MZ24 into the wicked lil Edge. Weather is forecasted for sunshine on Saturday so hopefully I can get her out for a few flights. I think I'll refrain from the rudder grinding and harrier landings for a while.

OK have to ask did you paint the wheel pants or are they covered with plastic. If you say plastic I have a few questions. Tryed to cover fiberglass wheel pants before and did not have much success.

Weeeelll..... I decided to go the "easiest" route. I've had this practice to buy extra wheel pants when I get a new airframe. Cuz I already know in advance, it's only a matter of time before they need replacement. The original pants did pretty good though. They made it almost a year. :lol2:

@Xpress thanks for the video it looks like a nice plane. Will have to take a second look at it have DA 50 looking for a home.

Aerobeez has 2 78" 30-50CC class airplanes, right now the Typhoon is out and available for purchase and very soon they will have a 78" Extra 330SC available. I think they're just working on last minute details like which color scheme to go with before they post the Extra for sale.

About 3 years ago @Decal Dennis made me an offer I couldn't refuse on a Bind-n-Fly 50cc Goldwing MX2. Well, it's just been sitting all this time and I finally decided to pull it out and dust it off.

Over the weekend I re-built the carb on the 3MM 53. Tonight I installed a new Taildragger tank and all new fuel line.

Next up I'll replace the batteries with some fresh LiFe packs.
