    Iron-on coverings? Opinions?

Every batch of covering no matter the brand is going to have slight variances of color tint. Like Bunky mentioned buy larger rolls to avoid this. Also certain colors are worse than others. Anything metallic, yellow, red, or transparent you will never find two rolls exactly the same.

    Iron-on coverings? Opinions?

Bart, UltraCote is made in Germany. MonoKote is made in the USA. Both great products once you learn how to apply them. Monokote the learning curve is steeper but once you figure it out the finished product is awesome. UltraCote is quicker to learn and a bit more forgiving while applying...

    DA-70

I have the pattern for the DA120 and 170 also.

    DA-70

The one pictured is 3/4". But we can stack them to just about any thickness needed. They can be 1/8", 1/4", or 1/2" thick. Then just stack them up to the desired height. I made them from Baltic Birch Ply wood so its pretty light and still very solid. I'm sure a solid maple spacer would work...

    DA-70

DA states very clearly to use solid spacers to mount the engine. I made these for a friends Extreme Flight Extra 300 with a DA70. What do you guys think?

2015 Joe Nall... What does GSN need to do to take over the world?!

Sleepy,   Idea number 2 is lame. The rest of it sounds fun and a good idea. Bart is kinda uptight?  He clearly hasn't been to Joe Nall. Damn rookies!

    RC Airplane Memes

That error was easy to do with the .049 powered gliders. Once you got that screamer fired up getting it in the air ASAP was the priority! Only had 30 seconds of fuel you know :-)

GSN Covers the 2014 Red Bull Air Races at the Texas Motor Speedway picture flood.

No amount of video or pictures can describe how cool this event was. Watching the guys enter that first gate 225 mph and diving down to the chicane was nuts. The entry gate was about 50/60 feet higher than the infield gates. Red Bull doesn't mess around in making sure you are entertained...

    Hello from Sensei

Sleepy, Bob's new hobby is house remodeling. Kinda rough going into his workshop and not seeing any signs of airplane construction.

    DA60 throttle and gurgle issues

Nick, What prop/size are you running? There are several guys in our club here that have them running with very little mid range issues. If you have the mixture set where the engine will take the quick throttle up right after start up its way to rich. Every one of these engines I've run...

How big before multiple servos on a control?

One of the reasons guys are running such crazy powerful servos is the total throw they ask of them. Using 2" long servo arms throwing the surface 65/70 degrees takes a lot of power. Then throw in there the WOT crazy stick bending flying style and you can be asking for more servo power. ARF's...

Modifying / Detailing an ARF for Fun Scale or Pro Am in Scale masters.

Back in late 2009 I was living in central Illinois where the winter is really looooooooooooonnnnngg. So I got an idea to take a Top Flite B-25 and dress her up a bit. Turns out you can get very deep into detailing these airplanes out and its hard to stop and say its "good" enough. Fun scale...
