Some DLG action happened today. Man what fun to have four planes up at the same time.

Went flying yesterday but the Decathlon just would not run. First time in 12 years or more. I just hate working on a plane at the field so after a short while pack the plane up and pulled out my spare plane and had a good day at the field a little on the hot side at over 95 degrees F. So this what the Decathlon looked like after we got home from the field.

Not sure, but looks like some shady characters in that group!

BTW, who got :first_place: for longest flight time?

Yeah we are kinda shady looking. Longest flight goes to Kyle the guy in the front. He knows what he is doing with these gliders plus he can launch twice as high as he rest of us.

Did the maiden flight on the Multiplex Mentor last night. I need to locate a canopy still but otherwise it flies great. I also need to prop up, the 13x4E is too little prop for the motor. It's rated to handle 400w/40 amps and I'm barely sucking 20 amps out of it, thinking a 14x7E should do nicely. It was comfortable for lazy circle flying at 3/4 throttle but struggled to climb at WOT.

Great flying airplane, super stable in the air. Will need to decide if I want to put the factory decal scheme on it or if I want to do a little custom painting of my own.

That's why I will bring my QQ300 along too. Just in case my main date bails on me . BTW that Dub still looks new! Nice.

I like 'em "BIG"!
Guess who made a few laps today? That would be yours truly and a certain red head powered Pilot Edge. Got out before it got too hot. Just loving that lil ole 106cs. A bit breezy and I haven't flown the girl in a while so I didn't get her too close to the ground. Maybe within a foot of the runway in a harrier transitioned into a hover. But other than that, I kept her up and let that little beast roar. Planning on a repeat tomorrow with the SD Baby Yak tomorrow. But for now, time to get that 330 cowl set and painted. Hope you all are enjoying some awesome summer blast offs.

Remember fellas, always land with the wheels touching the runway first!

The forecast for tomorrow looks great, for July. Today we had the coolest least humid day since April, it was 84 and there was no heat index! Tomorrow while not as nice, should be pretty good. The high is supposed to be 88 with the wind around 6. A little more humidity than today, but WAY better than it has been.
