    Phoenix Models Typhoon

I currently have a Typhoon, electric. It's my go-to when my big stuff is in various states or I simply want to grab something simple and stop by the flying field. It's a great flying little plane. I have a 4250-900 motor in mine swinging a 13x6.5 apc prop on 4S. It will do everything you want...

    News Need help finding classifides

I'm with you! I couldn't find it either. It's no wonder that once we go there, there are no airplanes for sale, etc. come on site administrators, make the classifieds easier to find and then make an opening notice of how to get there and encourage others to participate. Thanks!!

New Product Strick Pro Grip Radio Trays and Harnesses

When I lived in Europe in the 70s I always used a tray. Not sure why I got away from them but have not used them in many years now. Not sure I want to go back but Strick's look good.

Scale 25% Krier Kraft build, a tribute to grampa.

I personally knew Hal Krier and hung out a little in his hangar in Rose Hill, KS where he kept the Krier Kraft. It was indeed a beautiful airplane and Hal was a heck of a nice guy. Sadly, he was killed trying to spin certify a two place Spinks aerobatic trainer.

    Travel Aire Mystery Ship

Interesting info about the museum in Tullahoma. How did it manage to be built there? Is there a link to Olive Ann Beech or...? I spent several days in Tullahoma in the early 70s or late 60s as Tactical Air Command project officer at the Air Force model airplane event. Stayed at the Officer's...

    Travel Aire Mystery Ship

The Travel-air factory was in my home town of Wichita, KS. Incredible number of aircraft built there over the years. Mr. Beech of Beechcraft fame was the originator of Travel-air also. Fun Fact: More airplanes have been built in Wichita, KS than the rest of the world combined. Good luck with...

    Need help with Yak build

I always use two switches one for the battery to the ignition and one for the battery to the receiver. IF you don't turn off the power, the batteries will discharge below usable voltage and be ruined. It is very simple to put a switch between the battery and ign and rcvr.
