Dan, are you still planning a trip to Joe Nall? I will be there on Wed May 13th with the Yak and two buddies for the festivities. Richard

Size deceiving Rav4 91" Yak, 64" MXS, and a go fast plane all comfortably fit in my daughters Rav4

Beautiful plane! But I have to admit I have a bias :) What CF prop are you running?

Thanks. I put an RPM meter on it this past weekend and got a reading of 6,850 on the white & red wood Xoar prop (24x10). Pulled the plane around just fine. I will eventually get another Falcon CF 25x8 but this works great for now. The Falcon provides better torque and is a bit quieter.

Yep, I have the Twisted Hobbies Crack Laser and love it. Just installed the light kit and it is a blast to fly at night.

Honestly I am a pretty new pilot and this is my first gas plane. Quite frankly I don't deserve this plane but jumped into the hobby with both feet and a check book. My buddies said I should name the plane "9 Lives" :ashamed: I'm going to stick with the $30 props (Xoar) for a while until I...

Again, newbie on this end but I will try to describe what I've done. I used 50lb test fishing line around the wing tube to balance the plane (fully assembled). Then, I moved the batteries forward and aft to balance. Keep in mind I have a Sullivan smoke pump installed immediately in front of the...

Dan, first off thanks for the stick instructions on the 'tumble'. This things tumbles like a beast! So much so that I threw one of the wheels off during mid flight. :veryshocked:My buddy Kevin said, "now how are you going to land"! Since I had a full tank of fuel, I had time to think through...

Well, the snow has FINALLY broken here in Nashville. Taking the Yak out tomorrow for the first time in months! I will try this tumble that you speak of! Sounds like high speed, slight upline, right stick up and to the right, left stick down and left. Wish me luck, will try to get some...

Hmmm....I'm too new of a pilot to know what really defines a tumble. However, mine will perform violent pop tops, knife edge spins, and is pretty quick on a snap roll. I guess there could be other factors involved with how your throws are set, and how long your servo arms are. I couldn't...

There have been several references to a dock workers strike in Washington with ships held out at bay. This may be the reason for the delay in parts and airframes across multiple vendors here in the United States. I can't wait to get my hands on that 74" edge!

Thanks for the advice on the choke wire. Worked great. In addition to the choke wire, I decided to make one other mod by converting the fake vent holes to functional and real. Took some time and patience, but they came out great.
