Sounds familiar. My 10 year old daughter plays volleyball, basketball, track and piano. Always a game, practice or recital. Glad my daughters are over 10 years apart, that way their sports schedules never overlapped. Oldest one was all done with that stuff before the younger one started. I don't know how parents with multiple young ones do it! You must be superheroes or something.:D

Decided that since I have the day off today that I should do some basic maintenance to the Yak. Had to re-glue a couple of stringers back in place and then moved my flight packs back a few inches (or rather 20 :eek:). Made a new mounting plate for them to give them something solid to mount to :cool:

This was the best location to give me a more neutral CG since the airplane is nose heavy right now. I can move one or both packs back up front if I don't like them this far back, but I think it should be perfect here :big-grin:

I also tidied up the wiring inside since it was bugging me. Just one last thing I'd like to do and that's remove the HUGE Multiplex connectors from the elevator servos since the wiring back there is a bundled up mess. My OCD drives me crazy sometimes :confused:

You can see where the packs are now vs where they were mounted (right on each side of the ignition pack). Won't get to test fly until next weekend.... :(

At least the weather's supposed to be nice this week :mario-banana:

Tired of holding epoxy bottles upside down waiting for it to drain out. Saw a picture of this in Model Airplane News. Had some scrap plywood in the box, so I built this. Not a bad job, if I may say so myself, seeing I had no plans or drawings to work from. Just the photo in the magazine.

My main issue with Epoxy this time of year is my workshop is always cold, so it takes forever for the epoxy to pool down, then squeeze out!

Okay got the shop cleaned out this weekend and ready for the insulation guys tomorrow. OMG getting excited about completing this shop. The one picture shows the shop lighted by 7 of the lights I have purchased for the finished deal. Based on this do you think that 26 lights will be overkill once completed?

Awesome! Here is my take on the lighting - IMHO you can't have too much (within reason), and as my eyes get older (I am 44), I need more and more light. What I thought was plenty a few years ago - not so much today. Suggest putting them on different switches/zones to provide what you need when you need it.

Thanks they are already wired into two zones. The first has 12 lights on it which is the work/hobby side and the the remaining 13 on the other. Thank god they are all LED lights even the outside lights on front.

Went from tiled plans, to templates, to foam parts, to an almost complete airframe this morning. Would finish it but time to get some sleep so I can go to work tonight. Will finish up and maiden it tomorrow. Called the flite test FT Sportster.
