3dhs 89 slick

Put some new pants on my 89 this week. It was flying great till the crank shaft bearing broke up and threw some bits up into the combustion chamber.:( Luckily I was able to dead stick it in without incident. Anyone know how long it generally takes DA to repair and return a motor?

It usually is 5-7 business days. But they will completely look it over, call you if somethings else needs repair to make sure it is ok to do. They have great service and this is partly why I only buy DA or 3W. From in AZ where they are to you will be 2-3 days for shipping as well.

I just got an 89'' and am really excited to get to flying. It will be my first slick and first 3DHS aircraft. I actually built this aircraft for a friend who no longer wants it. But I am really glad that I did because its already setup the way that I like it.

Built some little balsa battery trays for my 89 today. Wanted to be able to easily remove and reinstall them, as they were previously zip tied in on the sides of the gas tank.

Did a test fit of the canopy, no problems! I'm happy :)
