So not to long ago (2012) Joe and his Father [MENTION=10]Jim Smith[/MENTION] were invited to Dubai to fly for the Prince! Whoa what a invite and amazing opportunity! Here is some videos that capture the time spent with him. Jim was flying for 3DHS at the time but is now proud to call RedwingRC his home. If you haven't seen the videos here they are!

This kid has nerves of steel! Although we can't call him a kid anymore but imagine being in his shoes and at his age the nerves have got to be almost unbearable! Nice job Joe!

I have total respect for Joe, but that seems particularly crazy to me, that is a LARGE plane flying very close to the general public. If it got away from him for some reason, it could hurt or kill someone, he might then find himself in a Dubai jail until the "completed the investigation".

Otherwise, awesome flying:clap:

Oh man you should see some heli pilots...Even more dangerous, a blade from my 700 would cut you in half. How often do you hear of such a accident though?

Joe = Awesomeness though as a pilot.

Thanks Mike for the post. We had a great time. The Prince is a really great guy and enjoyed talking with Joe. Joe would go back in a heart beat. Dubai is a fantastic city to visit especially for a couple of farm kids.

And just so you know Joe was concerned about safety and his first flight was way out from the crowd (+5,000) and the event organizers demanded he fly much closer. They said these guys jump out of good airplanes for fun. They want to see your show.

You know what I think is the best thing of all out of this. Joe and his father getting to share in these adventures making memories that will last a lifetime for each of them and those around them as well. That my friends is the shiznit and I hope you guys get to keep doing it for as long as you want.
