On July 23 -24, the first annual Northeast Scale qualifier was hosted by the Black Dirt Squadron RC in Goshen, NY. Contest Director Danny Carozza and the rest of the club members did a great job pulling this event together. The event venue is the club’s flying field in the middle of the agriculture region of NY state and the field was absolutely one of the finest in the region if not the entire country.

There were a lot of WW1 scale aircraft, but there were many excellent scale airplanes from civilian classics and a WW2 fighter. The weather was amazing, but a bit hot and the pilots were challenged by a strong crosswind on Saturday. Sunday was dead calm!
