Recently, 3DRCForums had a chance to evaluate the new 42" Vyper Bype, and used the Hacker A30-12XL-V2 motor from www.aero-model.com.
This 700kv motor is rated for 700 watts of glorious power, and spins a 14x7 or 15x6 prop remarkably well.
We used the 14x7, and feel safe declaring the motor had the holy grail of “unlimited vertical” even towards the end of the battery pack when pulling around the Vyper Bype!
The new V2 version has a rotor with cooling fins built into the bell, and this pulls cool air into, and through the motor, and pushes the hot air out.
In flight, this motor was well up to the task, pulling the plane with authority, and never getting above 140 degrees F in flight, and 150 degrees F after landing.
(Temps were read using Spektrum telemetry with a thermocouple on the motor back plate/x-mount junction.)

We definitely recommend this motor!
