Place: Silent Knights Soaring Society airfield (located in White Clay Creek Park northwest of Newark, DE)
I was only able to attend on Saturday, but it was a perfect day for what we love to do! It was a tow fest from morning till dark!
The SKSS field features a huge flat L-shaped runway that works great for staging an Aerotow event. The pilots operated from the corner of the L. Planes land on one leg of the L and takeoff from the other. The tow pilot can land, taxi up to the corner, turn out the leg of the other L, hook up a sailplane and takeoff. A very efficient setup!
