Call for Official GSN Event Contributors

We tried this once before but the pace of development at the site at the time made the follow through difficult so let's try it again.

I'm looking for people that know RC, go to events, can blend in and get lots of photos/video, and can get to a terminal and upload the content each night or the next day.

Please email me at bart@giantscalenews.com if you're interested and include some samples or links to samples.

I'm willing to compensate qualified people, provide embroidered GSN logo shirts, media access passes, etc. We'll tweak it as we go but for now we need to see who's interested.

Thanks for your consideration!
Bart

If I wasn't as involved with IMAC that I am, I would be more than happy to help out. As it is, there are events the same day as contests for me. There are actually 2 events that I have wanted to go to for a while now but, they are both on the same day and the same weekend as an IMAC contest that I attend.

Mark,

If you're good with a camera and don't mind the extra duty when at an event then just let me know. IMAC events are photo and video-worthy but it can be hard if you're also competing. what's next on your schedule, IMAC or otherwise? want to give it a try?

Bart,

I am pretty good with a camera but, haven't done much with video. I shoot with a Canon 5D MarkIII using a 24-70 f/2.8L and also a 70-200 f/2.8L series lense.

You can see some of my handy work at http://photosbymark.net and http://dirtyhogatvrodeo.com if you wanted to take a look.

Our next contest is June 11th in Broken Arrow, OK. We have one in Byrum, MS but, that is almost 500 miles one way :(

Very nice, you're hired!

Let's talk before June 11th and if you'll be in Broken Arrow and don't mind taking photos for us then we'll give it a try.

We're going to need a pretty deep reserve of people to try to get coverage from around the country and even in other parts of the world. Looking forward to hearing from you guys!

Also, wives are fair game as are friends that are involved with the hobby but not brave enough to hit the sticks at a big event. Providing coverage is a great way for people to participate without bringing an airplane. Also, I can reach out to fellow club members that might be known for having skills with a camera but who wouldn't normally go to events.

Thanks!
Bart

Wish I was better with a good camera lol.

I go to a lot of events around the Ohio/Indiana area.

With a decent camera you can get away with shooting in full Auto mode and still get nice photos. Especially on a day where the sun is going in and out or you're moving around a lot, shooting in other less automatic modes can be a PITA!

Do you have a camera? What is it?
