Many moons ago when I used to fly at the Battle Ship Park in Mobile I was the last Pilot to leave for the day (morning field)
The Brookley Field Airshow was coming soon and as the last guy leaving was treated with a low fly over of a B-17 being escorted with a P-38! That was arriving for the show. The sound of the prat cyclones and the merlins turbos was awesome! Was a real treat!
Needed it because I think I crashed my Giant EZ Christen Eagle that day. Got even better! I went to the show and met Charlie Hillard and Gene Soucey and Tom Poberezney!
