The first one was a blast, looking forward to an even better event this year!
If you made it to the Saranac or Jackson event, you can certainly make it to KRAM...only 11 miles West of the Saranac field! The field is located at: 8001 Wingeier Ave SE, Alto, MI 49302 (42.82073753261054,-85.3567636013031). Plenty of room for primitive camping & RVs on site, no hookups. Early arrivals ok, CD on site beginning Friday morning.
We will be open for practice on Friday @ 1pm. You'll be flying off a beautiful 600' x 200' grass field with a 300' fabric runway in the middle. We've extended the field 100' to the east to assist with landing your big birds. The corn is quite high by then, so some practice landings are encouraged just to get used to the approach.
Food & drinks will be available all weekend at a reasonable cost. Each pilot will get 1 free lunch on Saturday. Menu is yet to be determined, but it'll be tasty! If there's interest, we will go to a nearby restaurant Saturday evening for dinner and fellowship. Night flying (quiet electrics only) Friday & Saturday is welcome!
Registration begins at 7am Saturday. Wheels up by 9. Please arrive as early as possible. Plan on at least 3 rounds Saturday. Sunday will bring 1 unknown & 1 known round (2 known rounds for Basic). Freestyle will be flown on Sunday for anyone that wishes to participate. Pilot prizes will be raffled off and/or given to class winners!
*PLEASE* pre-register here - http://www.mini-iac.com/Home/ControlPanels/EventSystem/EventDetail/tabid/75/xmmid/397/xmid/19099/xmview/2/RecordID/19099/default.aspx
$35 IMAC, $45 non-IMAC, $20 First time Basic competitor, which includes 1 year IMAC membership.
All classes flown, Senior points will be awarded. This is your last chance for practice before the worlds! See you there!
