    I just upgraded to a dx8 earlier this year and am surprised how much I use telemetry. I am using it in my 71. I haven't moved it to the smaller stuff because of the weight penalty.

    Haha. I bet my wife if happy that I didn't get anything. I just bought a trailer 2 weeks ago and just kept telling her a new shiny plane would go nice with it ;) At least I have all winter to work on my trailer. Its starting to get cold and the days are getting shorter.

    I'm in the same boat as you. Don't try to get it unless you are going to pay for it. Can't complain though I have won a 71 Slick and a free beanie. I was really hoping for a 100cc. I am just glad that 3DHS has garage sales. They sure are a blast!

    Its been just over a year since I joined a club. Its an extra 20 minutes from my house but somedays I spend more time talking than flying while I am there. The peanut gallery at my field always finds ways to keep things interesting.

    I got really lucky when I joined a field here in Indy. Everyone is 3d friendly. I have only had one incident with someone in the past year and half and some club members "referred" him to a nearby circle flier field. I was hesitant to join the club but would recommend it to everyone.
