3D Viper 120cc ARF is HERE!!!!!

A couple of quick questions for you Terry. What type of glue are you using for your hinges? I noticed you didn't seal your firewall. Do you typically not coat the firewall area? Is there a way to relocate the main tank to be at the CG instead of in front of it? Did you (or are you going to)...

    Brand New PAU........Viper-ST Announced!!!!!!!!

I have a green one on order. Sadly I'll be out of town for much of January so it will probably be February before I get started on mine. @Terryscustom will have completed his 2, along with his little Extra, Giant Viper, and at least 12 other planes before I get my Viper unboxed!

    Best size trailer?

Keep in mind the places you need to tow your trailer. I flew at a field for awhile that had a sharp turn into a narrow gate. The guys with trailers had a helluva time making that turn. About the only way to do it, even with a small trailer was to go past the gate and back the trailer in...

    WHAT DO YOU WANT??

I'd like to be able to get all posts in a thread as emails. Right now I get one email and no more until I check the thread. Sometimes I'd like to follow (and post to) a thread just from email. Another email request is email alerts for new Classified postings.

    Brand New PAU........Viper-ST Announced!!!!!!!!

The latest word from Herve is that the ship will arrive in port on December 21. Assuming no custom delays hopefully the container will be to PAU before the new year.

    Thinking about a Beast.

They are an amazing flying plane. The big complaints I've seen and heard are the field assembly and the covering. The covering is very prone to wrinkling in the sun. The color scheme also makes it hard to see your orientation in the air. It's a QQ design and an amazing flying plane though.

    PAU Owners Thread

I spoke to Herve the other day on the Vipers. As Terry said, they are on the water, but no confirmed delivery date yet. The estimate I got was mid December assuming no custom delays. I'm hoping to have mine by Christmas.

    AJ Aircraft Owners' Thread

I have a CH Double Vision and the AJ planes have always reminded me of it. It's a really fun airplane. I've often thought a 100cc version built with modern construction would be a real winner. I recently had mine recovered and upgraded the servos.

    More ZDZ awesomeness, 224 Quad

@Terryscustom is going to need to build an even BIGGER Viper to house this bad boy! :D

    PAU Canopy bolts

I'll probably use a magnetic switch. I can put the status LEDs for ign and RX under the canopy. I'm still not sure what to do about the fuel dots though. The Emcotecs that I like are fairly low profile but I still am not a fan of them sticking through the side of the plane. Once the Viper...

The I'm going out flying thread 2016

I tried the quad thing a few months ago. I just couldn't get into it. The technology is fascinating but the actual flying just wasn't for me. I tried a race quad thinking that might be more fun, but after about 10-15 flights I just wasn't enjoying it. I really need to sell that Immersion RC...

    PAU Canopy bolts

No worries Terry. I trust your advice. You and Herve should definately know the best way to do it. I'll likely go with the thumb screws @Matt Carruthers recommended. I love the Emcotec fuelers. I've used those on several models and I have them on order for the Viper. I'll go with a pin...

    PAU Canopy bolts

That's the way the canopy is held on my 40% Carden Cap 232, my EF Extra, and my CH Double Vision (and probably a dozen other planes). But I am concerned about it because the canopy on the PAU Viper is quite large and with high energy flying I would imagine the forces placed on the canopy could...
