IMAC Double Build, Carden Pro 124" Extra 300 40%

Just a thought. I would consider keeping the female JR connector. If you lose a servo at a contest, it would make a needed servo change easier and quicker. Unless you plan to have a pre-soldered replacement servo in your box.

The I'm NOT going out flying thread.

That could be the ticket. A buddy just GAVE me an EF Extra with a DA60 in it RTF. I need to stay with it as I just got my 9 year old grandson a little electric to start flying and he's excited about it.

The I'm NOT going out flying thread.

I've seen it happen to others many times and I never could understand it until now. I think about flying and I just go "Nah." Maybe flying competition (IMAC) for the last 6 years has killed it for me. It did with Bass fishing many years ago. My last three trips the field I didn't even pull my...

Even worse is the fact that you are inhaling epoxy. You are putting an epoxy coating on your alveoil in the lungs. Really bad.

How many of you are running the new DA150L?

When I had a DA150 in my Sukhoi Jeff at DA recommended 11" headers. It was a little peaky but lots of power. I went with 14" on my DA170 and it has great power and not as peaky. I run/ran a Mej. 28.5X12X3S on both and love it.

    Ignition Wiring

I have used them exclusively in my giant scale planes for years. They work so well you almost forget about them. I use the dual RX version in my Sukhoi. If I lose either RX I can still kill the ignition. I prefer the Smart-Fly optical kill system because it truly isolates the ignition circuit...

    Servos

IIRC a flying buddy of mine sent in some 8611s for repair and they said they could no longer repair them and only offered an upgrade. I could be wrong though. He ended up replacing them with Savox 1270TGs. Excellent, fast and strong servos.

    New DA 60 not start

Keep in mind you cannot just run the magnet past the sensor and get a spark like most ignitions. I believe it must be traveling at at least 400 RPM.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I soaked mine in the heat of the sun for four days in August and it worked very well. Now that the weather has cooled considerably, I don't know how I would have heated them up but mine were RE3s so they are very long.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I got a chance to run my DA170 on the ground after the carb kit/RE3 cleaning. Holy cow! Instant run up and almost ripping the 28.5X12X3 on the ground.

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

It had been a few years and about 800 flights since I cleaned my RE3 pipes so I pulled them out last week for cleaning. The last time I cleaned them I used Dawn Power Dissolver and it did a fairly good job. It's a little harder to get now and a whole lot more expensive so I did some searching...

CCA is a noise sensitive venue. I would stick with the Mejzlik or if you use the Falcon keep a sharp eye on your sound scores after the first couple of sequences.

    Clover Creek Invitational

That's good news Mark. I was hoping you would get a spot after I had to decline Sunday when Gil called. Just bad timing for me as I had assumed I wouldn't get in and decided to take my plane down for maintenance late last week. Just no way to finish it in time and get any practice with my work...
