    Yep, the manufacturer of the Tigershark UAS is the one who recognized it and got me on the right track. GiantScaleNews has a few guys on their forum who were running them in race planes in the 80's. They were getting 200mph out of them back then, but I think there are lighter options these days.

    Contacted a current UAV power plant manufacturer, and he immediately recognized it. It was produced by a company out of California called Herbrandson Engines, for the Lockheed MQM-105 http://www.designation-systems.net/dusrm/m-105.html

    The rear of the engine looks like it runs the accessory drive, and intake ports are on the opposite side of the cylinder from the exhaust ports, much like the 2 stroke motorcycle engines I played with as a youth.
