    Filling gouges and scratches in balsa

    I like the Hobbico HobbyLite Balsa Filler or the DAP. Both work great but the DAP is handy because you can pick it up anywhere. Both are light weight, dry fast and sand easy.

    Drilling out hinge points

    You might be able to use a long tube on a bottle of thin CA and wick in some glue. Just open the control surface as far as you can and hit both sides. Might be worth while to add a little Vaseline to the pivot point so it doesn't seize up.

    All I manage to accomplish in the workshop tonight was installing the rudder on the Crack Laser. Good thing slow and steady wins the race.:p

    Extreme Flight/3DHS New Website

    That plane is a blast to fly. Only thing I don't like is the landing gear. It bends too easy and the plane likes to nose over. So I modded mine. Added carbon gear and moved it forward about 3/4 of an inch.
