The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

If you're telling me I have to do a build thread then I will. If you're suggesting I do a build thread then I might wimp out! That's for builders like @Forgues-Research The only thing I'm doing different, other than building it like anybody would build a Sig Kadet in terms of scale features...

Wanted Wanted DA-100I or 3W-110iR2 Inline Twin

This would be for a project that is a long way down the road but in the event there's a good used one out there and I can get it for a great price then I'd buy it early. It's hard to believe there are very many of these engines, used, sitting on shelves across the country but that's why I'm...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

50 cc for me is 16 ounces for an acro plane and 20 ounces for a Cub or Decathlon style plane. and I agree with Snoopy, a small 4 cell NiMH is all I use for ignition, just put a 750 mah 4 cell AA pack in my new/used Christen Eagle with DA-50. it's the first time I'm using an AA pack but I...

thanks for finding that video 'dimes! pretty cool little plane but I still think it'll be up for sale soon. :( edit: the other plane is a 3D Hobby Shop Aspera and was just looking it over only to find......both friggin' wing panels were chewed up inside by a mouse! :fist_pump: so, to fix or...

next step forward might be in batteries making much longer flights possible or even lighter all up weights for a ten minute flight. aerodynamics for a basic four channel plane are beyond mature at this point. maybe in ten years everyone will be building kits again?

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I was going to post the photos to the EF facebook group to see if anyone knows the story behind it. The ESC looks a little homemade but we'll see if there's anything special about it other than the obvious fact that she's a looker. :D

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Extreme Flight 300EX, 45" wingspan, nice little airplane, it's very delicate but other than some hangar rash and wear from use it's in great shape. I'll probably sell this one and keep the one in the background. Nice guy that I bought them from, he and his young son took the two planes with an...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

I saw that photo today when I was trying to figure it out. The other plane that the guy has is an ExtremeFlight Aspera, it's a small electric pattern plane. They both have motors and servos, I'm not sure the guy is the original builder/pilot but it's a good deal so I told him I'll take them...

Precision Aerobatics says they are not the father. :( I'm thinking it's an older ExtremeFlight or 3D Hobby Shop

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

Thanks Rob. The guy is supposed to get back to me tonight. He's got two electrics and he's only asking $200 for both so I'm going to try to get up there later this week.

Does anybody know what this is? Maybe 3D Hobby Shop? Wingspan is maybe 32" if the studs behind it are spaced at 16" on center. Thanks!
