Aerobeez 70″ Slick PRO Step By Step Build Guide

Two drops of thin CA on each side and it should be in there for good.

Aerobeez 70″ Slick PRO Step By Step Build Guide

CA hinges will last indefinitely as long as they aren't torn. They are actually really strong. With this plane being electric only I don't see it as a huge concern. I admit that planes I have built with CA hinges were much smaller than this one, but on each one of them I have given a really...

NEW - Slick Pro Flight Review!

I do want to see Santiago get a little more aggressive with it. I want to see some hard tumbles, pop tops, blenders, and KE spins. You know... all the stuff I do to my planes routinely ;)

    What radio do you use?

I'm using a Hitec Aurora 9x with Optima receivers. I have enjoyed the radio. Very easy to program and does everything.

FAA 2014-0396- interpretation of new rule for Model Aircraft

The article I read sounded like things won't be finalized for up to 18 months from now.

FAA 2014-0396- interpretation of new rule for Model Aircraft

I haven't seen a total list of rules yet... but I just read a usatoday article that seems to be pretty reasonable indeed. For commercial drone use you have to stay under 500 ft, drone weight limited to 55 pounds and a 100 mph speed limit. Oh, and pass an aeronautics test and be vetted by the...

I will really have to have a ship come in to ever afford a plane like that.

I wish I could make that one, it is one of the best of the year. But... my new job is really busy for the next few months. I literally won't have a day off for the next month or so.

Awesome! Tom and I already discussed extending another invitation to you for some demo flying. Has he reached out to you about that? Everyone just loved your flying last year! :D

    Sim sessions!

This got me to thinking... If AccuRC does a good enough job approximating the real world it could really help model designers to do virtual prototyping. Imagine just designing the plane in the sim with sufficient detail to make formalized CAD drawings from a tried and tested design. Should...

    Sim sessions!

Interesting... I have Realflight... just wondered about Phoenix since you guys seem to be using it a lot lately. Not that I have time for it right now... but in a few months I will have more time to play ;)

Am I going to need to invest in Phoenix?

    Redwing RC life battery.

An opto kill is for providing the functionality of letting you remotely kill your engine with an actual switch on your tx vs having a choke servo or some other untrustworthy method. It also kills the engine in the event that your rx loses power. It was never designed to provide noise isolation...

    Redwing RC life battery.

This topic was discussed here: http://www.3drcforums.com/showthread.php?1325-IBEF-versus-Opto-Kill&highlight=ibec NJSwede did a nice write-up describing the differences between and IBEF, Opto Kill, and IBEC. An Opto Kill only provides perfect signal isolation only when using a separate pack...
