Well made so progress got the fuselage jigged together no glue. Took quite a bit of work to get everything to fit nicely and tight. So got some minor things to fix. Then it will be glued together, hopefully I have not forgotten to do something.

Have to agree with you hinging is not my favourite job either. Like the way you drill all the wood first before you glue it to the flite surface, good idea and solution thanks for the tip.

What do you use when sanding skins. Done more than my share of sanding and sanding wing skins and the dust gets to me. Up now all I used is 2 inch by 18 inch sanding blocks seems to give me the best results. Been thinking of trying one of the fancy 6inch Festool orbital sanders

Yea could try it and check it frequently. You could do two layers one across the top and second from the bottom. I have used Mylar drawing sheet and it worked very well.

Thanks for that I have been thinking of building one with retractable gear. I like a Chipmunk but with the gear in the wing makes handling the wing a pain. So with retractable gear it’s easy to deal with and slide into a wing bags. Just have to thick of something for the fuselage so that it does...
