I actually found this a while ago and thought I would post it here too.

Using decent packs from Revolectrix, each set of 14S 15300 would cost $598.46 and would take around 1800 watts to charge at 2C. The estimated weight of the packs, ESC, and motor would be 16.9 lbs.

The really interesting thing is that 2 sets of packs, ESC, and motor would be a little under $2900. Of course this does not include the generator(s) and charger(s) it would take to recharge the packs.

I just think this is a pretty neat setup and I don't know if I would ever seriously consider doing this.

Those Plettenberg motors are impressive. Back in 2008 Bernd Beschorner flew a 42% Raven with the Plettenberg setup at the Tucson Aerobatic Shootout. It was pretty sweet.

Yep, he had it turned way down.

That is definitely awesome, but it looks like he only flew about 5 mins. That could be a problem!!
