Got the wing built for the Storch. Came out nice!

I like 'em "BIG"!
I've been absent for a few days dealing with "Baby" after her little incidence of flying off into the wild blue yonder. But thankfully, nothing severely damaged other than her wheel pants. Once I got her home and checked her out really well, I discovered once again...this is one tough bird. I had an extra set of 40% wheel pants that I sanded the original color off and reshot to white to match the 260. They actually fit and look much nicer than the last set.

I replaced the Dubro fuel tank with an upgrade to the 50 ounce TDRC fuel tank.

Also swapped out the pickup sensor for the ignition with a new RCExel sensor. I noticed my L-80's had some vibration cracks around the exit stacks. My friend just got a new TIG welder so I asked him to see what he could do with the mufflers. He "zipped" up those cracks and the mufflers look good as new. Shiny and clean and ready to hush that powerhouse 3dub twin. The cylinder gaskets for the 157cs arrived yesterday so I was able to get the red headed beast back together and get her mounted on the airframe. I did a start up and run in test this morning. Man she is purring like a kitten and roaring like a lion again. With the cowl back on, prop bolted on and torqued down, she's ready to take to the skies again.

This evening I did a little more stripping of the Dalton 260 restore project. Tomorrow, I will be doing the stripping of the main wings.

Spent most of the day working in the yard. But I did manage to sneak in a little shop time on the Storch. I made and glued in some reinforcement on the power pod and the wing saddle area. I'll try to snap a couple pics next time I'm out in the shop.

Next up will be to bend and install the landing gear.
