Only thing I have done in the shop is clean up poo. (Dirty Jobs episode 6.) Have not even got my new plane out of the van since Saturday.
Such "High" expectation and to only realize more shop time for it. Think I will let it set there and simmer just like my attitude right now :face-palm:. I hate it when a plane does not come together. Reminds me the "deal" is never ever there.
Just what is it about Extras! They curse me I tell ya! Long live my Edges!:brian-banana:

Hey Kelly,

Hang in there Buddy, you'll get it worked out. Life's too short to let little things like this get you down. It's too bad nobody makes stab and wing incidence adjusters for giant scale planes like Gator RC used to make for pattern planes back in the day. Of course, if the plane was built correctly like it should have been, you wouldn't be in this position.

Personally, I will take an Extra over an Edge ANY day, but I've been known to have a few loose screws in the ole noggin. . . ..

BTW @Robotech , that Sukhoi does look AWESOME ! ! !:yesss:

Got the winter maintenance done on the 104 Slick. Put in a new Power Box Competition and did all the matching for the rudder and ailerons.... nice unit and uses two receivers. Next project will be the Demonstrator build as all I need to do for the Slick is cut a ply backing for the switch I need to mount and she is ready to go.View attachment 50719 View attachment 50720 View attachment 50721 View attachment 50722 View attachment 50723 View attachment 50724 View attachment 50725

The only drawback I see is that I do not see enough room for another plane :D

Decided to butcher the Staggerwing. I didn't like the muffler, so I broke out the dremel, and....

No work in my workshop again tonight. I meet a friend at the home of a friend of ours that passed away. He left three of us a very large HO model railroad. We've been trying to get over there and work on an inventory of what's there. Tonight we inventoried freight cars. After 3 1/2 hours, and a couple hundred cars Microsoft Excel crashed and all of our work disappeared. It was backing up every 10 minutes and the file is gone.:very_angry:

May I ask why you were using Excel instead of a database such as Access? Excel is designed to crunch numbers even though it will store records like you were doing, that is not its primary function in life. The database will allow you to search for things a lot easier and also generate any number of different reports/lists that you want.

Just my thoughts. It sucks when you lose data like that. I know, been there done that :-(

I'm not the lead on this project, so it wasn't up to me.
