I was a little concerned about getting a clean border between the white and red so I taped a long piece of poster board along the line of demarcation. Then I worked the covering down all the way to and over the edge of the poster board. After I made sure the covering was stuck down good I got the little seam where it transitioned over the poster board as small as possible. Then I laid a long metal ruler op top of the covering and pinched it up against the edge of the now covered poster board edge and made a the cut with a new blade between the two. Orthobird suggested doing only one side then taking a beer break. I substituted with whiskey.
