JRxg14

i have a question for everyone or anyone with experience... I have the JR11x and it has been a good radio... I am however a JR guy and am really looking into the DMSS.. Does anyone have any experience with the XG14? How does it compare to the 11x? Just curious because my dad flys with a 12x and it too has the alluninum gimbals and that in my opinion makes the xg14 worth the switch... Thank you everyone.

Have an XG11. Love the built in telemetry and performance so far has been rock solid. Even park flyer rx's... I've flown one in a glider that was way beyond park flyer range and it worked great. Had flown Spektrum for about 6 year prior to this, and after a string of crashes due to rx problems I finally moved away from it. I went back and forth between the XG11 and XG14 for a while, but wanted the 11 as I read it had slightly more options for programming, but also the larger screen. The gimbals on it felt great to me, and those were the only advantage I saw on the XG14. So I wound up going with the XG11 instead. Best of luck to you, I definitely don't regret the move to DMSS.

I have the XG14 and I love it...great balance in my hands and a really high quality feel to everything. That said, I have never used an 11X so can't provide a comparison, just an endorsement of the XG14.

+1 on the XG14 Quality but mixing options are slightly limited.
Will cover all but the most demanding. DMSS is rock solid -moved from DMS2 -telemetry is fine - just started getting used of its looks and the small screen (nothing like my old 9503).

The 11 is more powerful radio - for those who need it- and this is reflected upon its price tag.

I think that the 14 has awesome gimbals and that's why I got it.
As for programming, it has a lot of features but less than the 11 like the SPS and so but you can easily overcome that with conditions and mixes synchronized together.

thank you guys... this is why i love giant scale news... it didn't turn into a "Buy Futaba" thread! it is really appreciated to get honest opinions.. looks like ill be ordering an XG and at least a half dozen RX's with tax return..

on another note has anyone used the JR version of the power safe receiver?

Yes sir, I've got one of the rg1131bpu in my 91" extra and it's super nice. I'd recommend them.

I had the 11X and then used the JR Trade Up deal for a new XG11,,, the bigger screen is plus for me.
